Firefox 3 almost ready to be released
Mozilla Developers have said that the development work on Firefox 3 is complete and they are all set to launch it in public.
The new updated Firefox 3 would be faster and would consume less memory. They have taken a lot of time on this version as Firefox 2 was released way back in October 2006.
In many ways it (Mozilla Firefox 3) is much more stable than anything else out there.
said Mozilla Corp Vice President of Engineering Mike Schroepfer.
It would renew their fight against the dominating Internet Explorer in the market, and possibly it is seen as a competitor to Internet Explorer 8. Apple Safari and Opera Browser are the other players in the field.

Well it should come during April 2008 according to my estimations.

You can use Firefox 3 Beta 4 till then. Its stable enough to be used.
